The 204 works to provide a wide offering of classes, programs and workshops for all levels. Each class is presented by an artist or maker who has extensive knowledge and skills in the subject that he/she presents. All classes are limited to a certain number of attendees to maximize their learning experience and to benefit the instructor. The 204 strives to provide programming in the areas of visual art, culinary arts, music, literary arts, movement, health and wellness for all ages and abilities. If you are interested in teaching at the 204 and providing your skills to our community we encourage you to complete the form below.
Your form will be reviewed by the Director of Cultural Affairs. Once reviewed you will receive notification to discuss your proposal further. As part of our Department we will help provide some marketing resources and work with you to present your class, workshop or program. We are open to many formants on schedule and offerings. Our fee structure is $15 per class session held. Any fees that you collect as part of your registration are solely yours. A formal contract is created when your class, program, or workshop has been confirmed.
Dance Instructor Victoria Brown with Dance Therapy 508 is bringing her Youth Hip Hop Class to the 204. Starting in March on Tuesdays 4:30pm-5:30pm come be apart of a beginner level class where you learn the foundations of hip hop and the vocabulary with a warm up, across the floor movement and choreography

Artists, crafters, and anyone interested in exploring the intersection of textiles, mixed media, and visual art are welcome to join the exploration of mixed media embroidery, where traditional stitching techniques meet an array of materials to create stunning works of art. In this class, students will delve into the fusion of fabric, beads, sequins, and felt, learning how to combine them seamlessly to produce intricate and expressive designs. This class is suitable for beginners with no prior embroidery experience as well as intermediate embroiderers looking to expand their skills.

Adele will have everything set up and ready for you to practice doing free-motion ruler work using the ever-popular Westalee Rulers. Machines will be ready to go as you enter the studio along including any supplies that you need. You may also bring your own machine and rulers.
Westalee Rulers = Easy Free Motion! After a few basics to get everyone started, then the fun begins! It’s like bowling with “bumpers”, the rulers keep you on track as you create many classic designs. Hundreds of rulers are available from feathers to circles to great border designs. We can all quilt like the pros. Ruler work is the first step to regular free-motion – it’s the training wheels for your free-motion future

Make your very own tumbled sea glass tree. Our instructors will help guide you through the process from start to finish. All supplies are included to make your tree with glass and the starfish for the top! Other embellishments will be available for additional charge including lights. You are also welcome to bring your own items to add to your tree if you would like. These beautiful trees are 9" tall and there will be a variety of glass colors to choose from.

We will cover the best set-up for ruler work, trouble-shooting typical problems, and how to create many design options from this versatile set. Everyone will benefit from this workshop. We'll have advanced designs for the review students if they want. Also, there’s an option to work on a small project. Let me know. This class is highly recommended to get a good base of ruler-work info to help you move forward in your free-motion quilting.

Resin Cape Cod Map Workshop at The 204 Building in Harwich. In this workshop you will learn how to use paint and resin pouring to create a fun 24" wide Cape Cod Map shape! These are a perfect wall decor piece!

From the biggest to the smallest circles, we'll learn a method that works best for the project. You'll create a sampler of applique styles - needle-turned look, reverse applique, and traditional fusible using great tools like Applipops, Fabri-solvy, Circle Savvy and more. We'll discuss your machine settings, needles and thread which all can make a big difference in the results

My sewing school program will introduce your student to the artful science of sewing. This fun and engaging program begins with basic sewing skills and progresses through the foundational techniques for novice sewists. Stitchology Sewing School is small in-person sewing classes limited to eight students per class
What your Child will Learn
Safety Practices: Students are socially distanced working at their own workstation and each has their own set of sewing tools to work with. All workstations are thoroughly cleaned after each class.
