Programs, Workshops, and Events
The 204 Cultural Arts Municipal Building (The 204) envisions a vibrant, connected community engaged in discovering, exploring, and creating. The supportive power of extended family in all its definitions is embraced, as is the belief that the spirit and energy of community, and our participation in it, empowers and transforms. The heartbeat of the Harwich Cultural Districts, The 204 nurtures the voices of artists, and creatives, works to cultivate leaders who lift up our people and work to attract individuals and organizations to provide community programs and resources that will drive the community forward. The warmth, enthusiasm, and unity of our cultural hub echo throughout Harwich, and serves as an example of inclusive art making, kinship, and cultural expression. The 204 is a place where art happens, business happens, life happens and community grows. Its starts a dialog and social infrastructure is fostered.
The 204 provides rental space to community members, visitors, and alike to use for events, programs, workshops, and conferences.

To all the Artists, Artisans, Crafters, Makers, Community Members, Businesses and travelers afar for supporting the artists and the 204 throughout the years.
Since 2016, it has been known as the Harwich Cultural Center and has offered a professional workspace to creatives of all types - a rare resource on the Cape. We stand strong today as a mixed-use municipal building and continue to provide programming in all areas from the government to creative. The 204 also serves a critical role as an affordable rental space for community organizations, civic groups, and individuals to engage in cultural, recreational, social, educational, community service, civic and governmental activities. The 204 continues to provide valuable “launch space” where individuals can actualize their creative gifts and contribute to our local economy.
Whether they are engaged in the visual and performing arts, the health and wellness of others, or in the generation of ideas for the town’s future, the building’s occupants and visitors strive to impact town culture in ways that #InspiresHarwich with the #PowerOfCulture.
Transforming a former school is no small task. Through community development and planning we will continue to provide "launch space" while working to make event space attainable and make meeting space a reality. With over 70,000 square feet to offer a prospective event seeker, community member and visitors from afar we will work to engage our community partners to provide programming for all to enjoy.
